Finding Your London Nanny. We provide a discreet, personal and trusted service.

  1. Experienced, professional, loving nannies only - 2 years minimum experience.

  2. When placed in a permanent position we arrange certified Paediatric First Aid Courses for all our nannies if the certificate is over 3 years old and pay for this with no additional cost to the parent or nanny (a key benefit of our agency)

  3. When placed in a permanent position we verify a nanny’s enhanced DBS and if they are on the update service we check this as well. If they are not on the update service and the enhanced dbs is over a year old we are able run a new one, giving peace of mind.

  4. Advice on employment issues, salary negotiation, interviewing and nanny tax calculations.

  5. Full refund or new nanny replacement policy (see terms and conditions) - peace of mind when you hire a nanny in London.

  6. Just fill out one short form to register with us - registration and interviews are free - you only pay our industry-standard fees if you choose to hire one of our nannies in London.

Not all nannies reach our standard - they must have a great record, relevant experience, enhanced DBS check, paediatric first aid, right to work and excellent checkable references.

The London Nanny Agency provides the highest possible calibre of nannies to parents who are concerned about child-safety standards and want to avoid the risks of hiring direct. As a reputable London nanny agency, our highest priority is the safety, security and happiness of your children.

If you’d like us to start matching you with suitable nannies, please complete our Parent Registration Form and we’ll be in touch. If required, we can also introduce an Ofsted-registered nanny.

frequently asked questions:

  • We speak with you about what you need and we only put you in touch with nannies who have already been pre-approved by The London Nanny Agency. Each nanny will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, checkable references and genuine interest in your role. We send you their CVs so you can choose who to interview. Before anyone starts, we have already checked right to work, ID and DBS check.

  • Yes,  you can trial the nanny.  We do ask that the nanny is paid an hourly rate for this and the trial is a maximum of two days long.  Also it is essential that as this is a trial the nanny is not left alone with the child(ren).

  • Our fees are 5 × the weekly net salary for live out nannies and 6 × the weekly net salary for live in nannies. Temporary nannies are charged at £30 per day (£60 for weekend day or bank holiday). Maternity nurses are £60 per day. There is no registration fee and nothing to pay unless you offer a position that is accepted.

  • If a Candidate engaged in permanent employment by the Client does not remain in the Client’s employment for at least four weeks or has their employment terminated by the Client within four weeks of commencement, The London Nanny Agency will provide a refund of placement fee excluding a £300 administrative fee if the terms and conditions have been met.

  • Questions that should be asked should include ones about why they chose to be a nanny, what they enjoy most about the job, what activities they would plan, do they have a good understanding of milestones and development in the age group your child(ren) are in, are they confident in sole charge roles, can they think of any times when they had to make decisions in an emergency and what did they do etc. It is also important to watch how the nanny interacts with the children and if they ask sensible questions such as ones about routine/family childcare ethos etc and seem engaged and interested in the position.

  • Yes, we personally check nanny references. This gives us a chance to ask the difficult questions and to establish whether the family recommend the nanny and also if they are happy to talk to a future employer themselves. We recommend if possible that the future employer speaks to referees if they going to offer the position to a candidate
