It can take as little as 2-3 days if it’s urgent, but it depends on requirements, location, etc. If the nanny needs an enhanced DBS update or needs to complete a paediatric first aid course, this can take longer.

Once we have established they have a minimum of two years relevant experience and have checkable references we interview them and discuss their CVs with them. Aside from checking their references we make sure they have a right to work (if applicable), arrange and pay for an enhanced DBS if necessary (if they are not on the update service and their most recent one is over a year old) and arrange and pay for a paediatric first aid course if it is over three years old. There is no extra charge for any of this. We also give advice and guidance on nanny insurance.

We talk to both the client and the nanny who will have been pre-approved by The London Nanny Agency. We make sure that all nannies have relevant experience (a minimum of two years) and have checkable references. We then send relevant CVs from nannies who are interested to the client and they decide if they want to interview them. Before they start a new position we will have checked their right to work, ID documents and an up to date enhanced DBS certificate. (Please note that if the DBS and first aid need updating we arrange and pay for this at no extra cost to the client).
