SW8, Wandsworth. Live-out, part-time nanny required for three days per week – Monday to Wednesday. Initially, the position will be for 18.5 hours per week, from 12:00 midday to 6:00 pm. From April 2026, the hours will increase to approximately 28.5 hours per week over the three days, from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
There is a little girl who will be 2½ years old at the start of the position, and a baby is due in October. The nanny must have recent newborn experience, as from January the responsibilities will be more focused on the baby, with the toddler attending nursery full days thereafter. The ideal candidate will be reliable, fun, and organised.
There are local groups and activities suitable for the children. Duties include supporting the parents with both children, cooking for them, all typical nursery tasks, as well as washing and ironing the children's clothes. The family is looking for someone interested in a long-term position.
Occasional babysitting in the evenings may be required, and the nanny may be asked to act as a proxy parent from time to time, with good notice given. If the candidate can drive, this would be an advantage but is not essential; the nursery is a 10-minute walk from the house.
The mother will return to work in January on an adhoc basis, and the hours would remain until April 2026. It would be a bonus if the nanny could occasionally offer extra hours during the holidays, but this is not mandatory.
There is a dog in the family. The nanny will not be expected to walk him but must be comfortable around dogs.
Nearest stations are: Wandsworth Road, Queenstown Road, and Clapham Common underground.
Salary is circa £17-20 gross per hour, depending on experience and flexibility. Start date is either 25th August or 1st September, with some flexibility for the right candidate. (REF#5467)
